HERB-OX® Beef Flavor Granulated Bouillon may get its “real flavor” from “real herbs”, as its label claims but jars covering 2 production codes of the stuff may also contain a major food allergen not disclosed on the packaging.
In the official press release, the company behind the bouillon, Creative Contract Packaging LLC, acknowledged that a milk allergen had been found during what the company called “a routine label review”.
If you think you might have some of this in your pantry you’ll want to look for a 4 ounce jar of HERB-OX® Beef Flavor Granulated Bouillon with one of these date codes:
- SEPT 2020
- OCT 2020
If you do find any of this, you can take it back to your place of purchase, where you can either exchange it or request a refund.
Neither the company nor the FDA have logged any complaints of anyone being injured or sickened by the bouillon.
