Whip City Jerky Recalls Nearly 1400 Pounds Of Beef Jerky – Undeclared Milk Ingredient

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, or USDA, has announced a recall involving 1,392 pounds of beef jerky distributed by Whip City Jerky. The problem, says USDA in a press release, is an undeclared dairy ingredient. Milk is, of course, one of the “big 8” food allergens that must be declared in a prominent and very specific way on food labels.

This recall covers multiple flavors and dozens of best-by codes. All of the recalled jerky should bear a USDA inspection mark and this establishment number:

This action is classified as a Class 1 recall; so far, no reports of anyone being sickened or injured have been received.
