Some RXBAR Kids protein bars are recalled due to the potential for peanut allergy–KIDS Apple Cinnamon Raisin, KIDS Berry Blast and KIDS Chocolate Chip.

In a statement published on the RXBAR website the company blamed a supplier, saying that the unidentified peanut ingredient came from that company. RXBAR did not name the supplier but said it had severed that relationship.

RXBAR also disclosed that it has received what it calls “consumer contacts regarding allergic reactions” to some flavors. The company did not say how many allergic reactions are being blamed on its products. Nor did it identify the varieties involved.

Multiple Best By dates are affected, with some running as late as mid-October 2019. You can check your inventory’s best-by codes here.

The recalled bars are safe for consumers who do not have peanut allergy, says the company, but if you do you should throw your products out and see your place of purchase for a refund or replacement. You can also speak directly to RXBAR’s consumer service team at 1-312-624-8200.
