Health Canada says that some of Aroma Home‘s USB Heated Hotties heating pads are getting a bit too hot for comfort. In a press release announcing a recall, the agency says it has received multiple reports of overheated pads with one report of a burn.

Aroma Home's USB Heated Hotties are recalled after multiple reports of overheating.
Aroma Home USB Heated Hotties heating pads can overheat, says Health Canada. At least 6 of the estimated 3600 units sold have done so.

Four item numbers are covered in this recall:

  • Sequin French Bulldog USB Heatable – HOT-18-123
  • Sequin Cat USB Heatable – HOT-18-124
  • Sequin Fox USB Heatable – HOT 18-125
  • Sequin Blue Owl USB Heatable – HOT-18-126

Each of these heating pads plug into a USB port, like the one you have on your laptop, portable battery bank or car charger. Around 3600 of them were sold in Canada from October to December. They were made in China.

You should return yours to your local Winners, Marshalls or HomeSense for a refund.
